DOT to discuss interstate expansion project | Politics
A meeting is scheduled Oct. 17 to update the public on an interstate construction project.
The Department of Transportation's meeting to discuss the Interstate 39-90 expansion in Rock County will be held at the Turtle Town Hall from 5 to 7 p.m. in Beloit.
The meeting will focus on the portion of the project that includes I-39/90 between the Illinois state line and County O, just south of Janesville in Rock County.
On Oct. 17, transportation officials will focus the discussion on design alternatives for I-39/90, Highway 11 (Avalon Road) and County S (Shopiere Road) interchanges.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input, and ask questions, DOT officials said. Maps showing the proposed improvement alternatives will be on display and transportation representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
A future public meeting will be held to present interchange alternatives for the I-39/90 and I-43/WIS 81 interchange, the DOT said.
