Beloit’s Sixth Street will be closed a month for construction | News
Sixth Street between Liberty and Maple avenues in Beloit will be closed and under construction starting this week, according to a release.
Officials said the closure is expected to last a month.
The project includes curb and gutter repairs, manhole adjustments, a new storm structure, milling, a new asphalt surface and new striping, according to the release.
Officials said Sixth Street will be open to traffic throughout the project but suggest the public use alternative routes to help expedite the project.
An official detour route will not be posted, according to the release.
