Beloit, Janesville men win big in state lottery | News
Two Rock County residents won jackpots worth thousands of dollars in separate lottery drawings.
Roger Buggs of Beloit won the Saturday top SuperCash prize of $350,000. Jeffrey DeGarmo of Janesville won $25,000 in Thursday’s Badger 5 jackpot.
The Wisconsin State Lottery said Buggs bought his ticket at Woodman’s in Beloit. He’ll get $235,375 in a lump sum after taxes.
DeGarmo bought his winning ticket at Kwik Trip on East Memorial in Janesville and will get $16,612 after taxes.
The Beloit Woodman’s will get $7,000 commission for selling the winning ticket, the state lottery said in a news release.
A third state lotto ticket buyer was also up thousands this week on the east side of the state. Wendy Scheibl of Sheboygan also won $24,000 in a Badger 5 prize in Tuesday’s drawing. She received $16,140 after taxes, the lottery representatives said. Scheibl bought her ticket at Holiday Stationstore in Eagle River.
